What is Trail Life?
Trail Life Troop TX-0279 is a Christ-centered discipleship journey for boys ages 5 to 17. Engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors, boys are challenged to grow in faith and character, develop practical leadership skills, and serve our community.
As part of the program, boys thrive in a structured outdoor environment. They experience real-world challenges, camping, hiking, and fishing, plus develop skills in riflery, archery, canoeing, and more. Boys find mentors. Fathers and sons connect. Important relationships are fostered. And boys grow through opportunities to achieve significant accomplishment.
Purity: God calls us to lives of holiness, being pure of heart, mind, word, and deed. We are to reserve sexual activity for the sanctity of marriage, a lifelong commitment before God between a man and a woman.
Service: God calls us to become responsible members of our community through selfless acts, which He prepared in advance for us to do.
Stewardship: God calls us to use our God-given time, talents, and money wisely, all for His glory.
Integrity: God calls us to live moral lives that demonstrate an inward motivation to do what is right according to the Bible, regardless of the cost.

Howdy! I'm passionate about walking with and serving others, especially the younger generation of boys and men. Faith in God, discipline, humility, selflessness, and servant leadership are critically important for young men. Trail Life is a wonderful program for living this out!
